Punjabi University Regional Centre for Information Technology
and Management, Mohali was established in September, 2000 . The Centre was set
up with an aim to provide quality education in the field of computer application
and management in order to meet the growing needs of the business and industry.
The Centre is located in Phase-VII-Residential Area, Mohali which is contiguous
with Chandigarh. The building housing the Centre is surrounded by beautiful
gardens.
The Centre is equipped with two advanced computer labs, audio-visual aids and
512 Kbps leased line service for internet connectivity. It has a good collection
of books and journals in its library. An extension library of Punjabi
University, Patiala is also housed in the same building for the general public
having appx. 16,300 books from diversified areas, 31 magazines and 12 journals.
The centre has qualified and competent faculty in the fields of information
technology and management. The University plans to develop it into an excellent
centre of education to meet the needs and aspirations of the residents of Mohali
and adjoining areas. The courses available at the Centre include MCA & MBA. |
